A 'Views of the Child', or 'Hear the Child' Report is a written report describing a child's experience and preferences for their living arrangements and family relationships. The report is written after meeting with the child and it is, as much as possible, in the child's words. It is the opportunity for a child to have a voice through their parents separation and divorce and to communicate their wishes through a neutral observer. These reports may be requested by judges, lawyers or parents who want to hear from the child without putting them in a stressful courtroom situation. Our therapists meet with each child twice before preparing the report.
