Bhupie is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with a Masters of Arts degree in Counselling Psychology. She is committed to walking alongside individuals in their journey towards change.
Bhupie's approach to counselling is client-centred, strength based, and collaborative. She utilises creativity and flexibility to provide counselling services that match the diverse and unique needs of each individual.
Bhupie has experience working with individuals of all ages struggling with a variety of challenges in their lives. She draws upon her experience and training in diverse therapeutic modalities, which include Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Adlerian Therapy, Gottman's Couples Therapy, Feminist Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Family Therapy.
Bhupie creates a safe, respectful, and collaborative therapeutic relationship, where she supports individuals to recognize their strengths and wisdom while they move towards their preferred life. She can support individuals, couples, and families facing the following challenges:
Bhupie is bilingual and can provide counselling in both Punjabi and English. She also has lived experiences along with training on cross cultural counselling.
In addition to private practice, Bhupie works at Peak House, providing individual, family, and group counselling to youth and their families/supports. Although she works in Vancouver, she stays connected with her community at Surrey by being a board member at Surrey Women's Centre. Furthermore, Bhupie has experience providing various workshops in the Tri-Cities area and has also been a guest lecturer at City University.
Outside of work, Bhupie enjoys spending time with her family and friends and is thrilled with her new role as auntie.
